Ukraine Fulfils 43% of September Agricultural Export Plan

Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi said this during his weekly briefing with media representatives, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

In particular, since the beginning of September, Ukraine has exported:

• 960 thousand tonnes of grain — 38% of the planned volume;
• 275 thousand tonnes of oilseeds — 75%;
• 190 thousand tonnes of oil — 55%;
• 173 thousand tonnes of oilseed meal — 41%.

«The share of grain is the lowest, while the shares of oilseeds, oil and oilseed meal are higher. This means that priority continues to be given to exports of products with higher added value. In addition, the domestic food market is supplied with the main types of socially important food products and vegetables. Weekly price monitoring by the State Statistics Service does not indicate any abnormal or speculative increase in food prices,» Taras Vysotskyi noted.

At the same time, damage to certain warehouses and complicated logistics may cause short-term disruptions in the supply of certain products and a slight price increase of around 2.5%.
