The price of walnuts in Ukraine has doubled — from UAH 200 to UAH 400/kg. Among the reasons are a smaller harvest last season and losses caused by this year’s frosts.

Participants in the CraftUP Ukraine educational and grant project have completed the training programme and received certificates.

As part of the CraftUP Ukraine educational grant programme, ten finalists have been selected to present their business ideas to the Expert Council. The EU–Ukraine Association Agreement provides for a review of trade quotas every five years. However, due to the full-scale war and the introduction of the Autonomous Trade Measures (ATM) regime, the timeline has shifted, and the next quota review is expected on January 1, 2028. At the same time, if Ukraine accelerates its integration into the European Union, there may be an opportunity to return to a free sugar trade regime.
