Almost 30 Thousand Tonnes of Ukrainian Honey Exported

Hanna Kashyrina, Coordinator of the Crop Protection and Seeds Committee at the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB), told The Page.

She noted that retail prices for new-crop honey have increased and in September range from UAH 300 to UAH 600/litre. A year ago, the minimum price was UAH 120/litre.

«The average export price increased from $2.49/kg in 2025 to $3.47/kg in 2026. Domestic prices traditionally follow export prices and are shaped by higher logistics costs, rising production costs and limited supply,» Hanna Kashyrina explained.

EU countries remain the main buyers of Ukrainian honey. The top five importers in 2026 (as of August 31) are:

• Germany — 7.41 thousand tonnes ($18.12 million);
• France — 3.69 thousand tonnes ($12.52 million);
• Poland — 3.61 thousand tonnes ($7.38 million);
• Belgium — 2.90 thousand tonnes ($8.10 million);
• Spain — 2.67 thousand tonnes ($5.28 million).
