Grain stocks in Ukraine exceed last year’s level by 4 million tonnes

Stocks of cereals and legumes in Ukraine as of June 1, 2026, amounted to 9.5 million tonnes, which is nearly 4 million tonnes more than on the same date last year.

This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, according to APK-Inform.

As of the reporting date, agricultural enterprises held 5.9 million tonnes of cereals and legumes in storage, which is 49.2% higher compared to June 1, 2025.

At storage and processing enterprises, stocks reached 3.6 million tonnes, which is 2.3 times higher than a year earlier.

The largest share of stocks was accounted for by corn, at 5.3 million tonnes, up 89% year-on-year. Wheat stocks totalled 3.3 million tonnes (+70.7%), barley — 525.3 thousand tonnes (+78.6%), and rye — 34.1 thousand tonnes (+9.3%).

At the same time, sunflower seed stocks decreased by 9.7% compared to last year, to 1.5 million tonnes.
