CraftUP Ukraine Educational Stage Completed: Participants Received Certificates and Evaluated the Programme

Participants in the CraftUP Ukraine educational and grant project have completed the training programme and received certificates.
This was reported by the project organiser, the online publication AgroPortal.ua.
Over the course of three months, 40 craft producers from 19 regions of Ukraine learned tools for developing their craft businesses. The training programme comprised 15 lectures with a total duration of about 25 hours. Representatives of government institutions, industry associations, businesses and specialised organisations took part in delivering the sessions, sharing practical experience and their own case studies.
According to the survey results, craft producers highly rated the structure, content and practical value of the training programme. The lectures that received the most positive feedback focused on the legal aspects of running a craft business, legalising production, calculating production costs, and building a brand and marketing strategy.
Participants also noted that the training helped them take a fresh look at the development of their own businesses and identify the next steps for their growth.

Regardless of the stage of business development, every participant was able to find useful knowledge for themselves. At the same time, one of the most valuable outcomes of the programme was making new connections, having the opportunity to establish cooperation and becoming part of the craft community.

Certificates confirming successful completion of the training programme have already been received by all project participants.
The educational stage of CraftUP Ukraine has been completed, but the project itself continues. Ahead, the ten finalists will present their business ideas to the Expert Council, compete for grant support and receive mentoring from leading industry experts.
The AgroPortal.ua team is already working to make the knowledge developed within the project available to a wider range of producers — all lectures are planned to be combined into a separate training course that will serve as a practical guide for Ukrainian craft food producers.

Turkey-Leg Jamón — a Unique Product for the Ukrainian MarketThe Dvir Indyka craft production business in Poltava Region raises more than 2 tonnes of turkey meat per year, of which only 20% is processed. Its product range includes sausages and frankfurters, as well as various smoked products. The farmers plan to build a fully equipped processing facility, modernise the infrastructure and produce a product unique to the Ukrainian market — jamón made from a turkey leg. To do this, they need a climate-controlled chamber.
