Certified areas of organic cultivated berries in Ukraine totaled 1.6 thousand hectares in 2025, which is nearly 100 hectares less than a year earlier.
This is according to a study conducted in early 2026 by the certification body Organic Standardtogether with the state institution Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development and the national project Diia.Business, OrganicInfo reports.
Although the number of companies operating in this segment remained unchanged at 120 enterprises, the number of exporters increased to 35, compared to 31 companies in 2024.
By the end of 2025, the area under organic raspberries grew by more than 70 hectares, reaching 842 hectares.
Blueberry plantations expanded to nearly 353 hectares, up 16 hectares compared to the previous year.
The area under currants increased 1.6 times, totaling 48.4 hectares. In addition, organic sweet cherry orchards expanded by 1.7 hectares to 8 hectares (+1.6 ha).

The acreage of organic cultivated rosehip and white currants remained at the previous level — 3.36 ha and 0.14 ha, respectively.

At the end of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine recorded record revenue from raspberry exports, while significantly reducing blueberry shipments to foreign markets.

In 2025, Ukraine imported more than 2,000 tonnes of organic products worth a total of $9.63 million. Compared with 2024, import volumes increased by 10%, while the total value of imports rose by nearly 13%.

Ukraine exported 4.9 thousand tonnes of organic nuts worth €16.6 million in 2025. Compared to the previous year, export volumes increased by 91%, while in value terms they more than doubled.

In the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine exported more than 40 thousand tonnes of organic products.
