A Training Course on Sustainable Farming Is Now Open for Agricultural Professionals

The course will help participants understand how to combine soil-conserving technologies, resource efficiency, climate change adaptation and innovative solutions for developing more sustainable and profitable farming systems. The programme combines practical experience from Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Who is the course for?

The course is designed for farmers and farm managers, beginner farmers, students of agricultural specialities, consultants and advisors, as well as professionals working on the development of modern sustainable farming.

What will you learn?

Participants will gain knowledge on soil health and fertility, modern tillage systems, organic and regenerative farming, integrated soil and crop management, the economics of sustainable farming, international practical experience, as well as assessment and monitoring tools, including remote monitoring, satellite data and UAVs.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to assess soil conditions, select appropriate technologies, implement modern sustainable farming systems, develop resource-efficient crop rotations, better adapt their farms to climate and production challenges, and improve overall efficiency.

Training format

The training programme has been developed as a free online course. It consists of 7 modules and 24 lectures. Each module includes video lessons, presentations, short texts, lecture questions and tests.What makes the course unique?The course combines a scientific foundation, practical case studies and international experience with solutions adapted to Ukrainian conditions. Its main focus is not only on theory, but on real tools that help make farming more technological, resilient and profitable.

Course language: Ukrainian, with English subtitles.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate.

The course is a joint initiative of the Royal Agricultural University (RAU, United Kingdom), Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU, Ukraine) and the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH, Switzerland) in partnership with the NGO «Green Agro Solutions» (Ukraine).
