Experts Downgrade Forecast for Processing Tomato Harvest in Ukraine

This was reported by the World Processing Tomato Council (WPTC), according to Tomato News.

It is noted that this volume is 10% lower than the forecast made at the beginning of the season (550 thousand tonnes).

According to WPTC, the current estimate for global processing tomato production in 2026 stands at 39 million tonnes. This is 3.4% lower than the 40.4 million tonnes grown and processed last year.

As previously reported, at the beginning of last season experts forecast that Ukraine would grow 550 thousand tonnes of tomatoes, but the final figure turned out to be significantly lower — 470 thousand tonnes.
