Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has secured access for its agricultural products through 29 new export channels in 13 countries and the European Union.

According to the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, this is the highest annual figure since at least 2022.

«The new opportunities cover various regions of the world — from Europe and the Caucasus to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Ukrainian flour can be exported to China, egg products to Vietnam and Egypt, and milk and dairy products to Chile. Access to new markets has also been agreed for meat and meat products, animal feed, live animals, snails and planting material,» the agency clarified.

It added that the new destinations include exports of cattle to Algeria for slaughter, fattening and breeding; sheep for immediate slaughter to Egypt; and beef and beef products to Iraq, Georgia and Côte d’Ivoire. Supplies of table eggs, egg products and fish products to Egypt have been approved, while poultry meat and poultry products can also be exported to Côte d’Ivoire.

Separate decisions concern feed and products of animal origin. Ukrainian producers will be able to supply pet food to Egypt and the Republic of Korea, processed feed to Albania, and feed of plant origin to Georgia. Certificates have also been approved for Georgia covering a number of animal by-products, including processed animal protein and rendered fats.

For Ukraine’s crop production sector, the possibility has been opened to export plants for planting of sour cherry and grey cherry, as well as their hybrids, to the EU. Supplies of planting material for eight maple species have also been approved. Live snails and snail caviar, as well as certain categories of meat products, can be exported to Moldova.

«The list includes not only raw materials but also processed products: flour, meat, dairy and egg products, as well as pet food. This structure of newly opened export destinations expands opportunities for Ukrainian businesses to supply finished products abroad and develop processing in Ukraine,» the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection emphasised.

The agency also stressed that agreeing veterinary and phytosanitary requirements is an important step towards entering new markets. It determines the conditions under which Ukrainian products can be supplied to a partner country. As a result, producers gain more opportunities to plan exports, expand their product range and seek new buyers in different parts of the world.
