Kernel’s oilseed crushing plants processed almost 564 thousand tonnes of crops in the first half of FY2027 (ended on 30 September 2026), which was 1% less than in the same period of the previous season.

This is stated in the company’s report.

Sunflower oil sales decreased by 48% to 165 thousand tonnes.

At the same time, the company exported 574 thousand tonnes of grain during the reporting period, 54% less than in the previous season.

Grain transshipment at the agricultural holding’s export terminals in Ukraine decreased by 59% to 742 thousand tonnes.

During the specified period, Kernel’s grain elevators received 969 thousand tonnes of grains and oilseeds, 21% less than in the first three months of FY2026.

The company explained that sales and exports were significantly affected by disruptions to port logistics, which effectively made it impossible to ship products through Black Sea ports.

For reference: Kernel is a producer and exporter of sunflower oil, as well as a leading supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region to global markets. The company’s vertically integrated structure is built around closely interconnected business segments: production, export and domestic sales of sunflower oil; high-tech crop production; grain exports; and the provision of grain storage and transshipment services at elevators and port terminals.
