The German Agricultural Society (DLG) has opened applications for the international DLG Agri Influencer Award 2026, which recognizes farmers who promote modern agriculture through social media.
The announcement was made by DLG.
Farmers, farms, and agribusinesses that regularly create agriculture-related content, maintain their own social media accounts, and have at least 1,000 followers are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted until August 30, 2026.
The competition features two categories: DLG Best Agri Influencer International and DLG Best Agri Influencer in German. The international category is open to creators who publish content in languages other than German.
The winners will be announced on November 12 during EuroTier 2026 in Hanover, Germany. DLG will cover the winners’ travel expenses and provide complimentary admission to both the exhibition and the award ceremony.
Applications will be evaluated by an international jury comprising agricultural experts, consultants, communications professionals, and media representatives. The main evaluation criteria include content authenticity, content quality, audience engagement, and contribution to promoting modern agriculture.
For reference: The DLG Agri Influencer Award has been held since 2022 and has already brought together participants from Argentina, Germany, Ghana, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
