Tractors and Combine Harvesters Account for Half of Machinery Market: Which Brands Farmers Choose

Tractors and combine harvesters remained the most popular categories of agricultural machinery among Ukrainian farmers in June–August 2026. They accounted for 28.9% and 25.9% of the market, respectively.

This is according to data from the AGRO.RIA analytical centre.

Mini tractors account for only 7.9% of the market, while seed drills account for 4.3%.Among global agricultural machinery manufacturers, John Deere, MTZ and Claas lead by the number of search queries. 

Among Ukrainian manufacturers, the most frequently searched are Kharkiv Tractor Plant (KhTZ), O. M. Makarov Southern Machine-Building Plant (UMZ) and Dnipropetrovsk Tractor Plant (DTZ).

By median price on the platform, combine harvesters are the most expensive category. Their price has increased by 68% over the year to $55 thousand. They are followed by sprayers and headers, which have risen in price by 88% to $25.3 thousand and by 13% to $18 thousand, respectively. Combine harvesters, tractors and sprayers have the highest maximum prices. The least expensive type of machinery is the walk-behind tractor, with a median price of $650.

Experts note that, by region, the largest shares of agricultural machinery purchases are recorded in Kyiv Region (8.6%), Lviv Region (7.9%), Volyn Region (7.7%), Vinnytsia Region (7.6%) and Cherkasy Region (7.5%).
