Ukraine’s Agricultural Exports Fell by More Than 20% in July

The decline in exports was primarily driven by lower shipments of grains, oilseeds, and oilseed meals. At the same time, exports of vegetable oils increased slightly, while supplies of the new barley harvest led to a significant rise in barley exports.

The structure of Ukraine’s agricultural exports in July 2026 was as follows:

• Grain crops — 2.6678 million tonnes. Compared to June, exports declined by 25.1%. Corn accounted for 49.0% of grain exports, wheat for 39.9%, and barley for 11.1%.
• Oilseed crops — 88.5 thousand tonnes. Compared to the previous month, exports decreased by 43.7%. Soybeans accounted for 71.9%, rapeseed for 21.9%, and sunflower seed for 3.2%.
• Vegetable oils — 326.0 thousand tonnes. Export volumes increased by 5.8%. Sunflower oil accounted for 79.3% of exports, soybean oil for 13.4%, and rapeseed oil for 7.3%.
• Oilseed meals — 194.5 thousand tonnes. Export volumes declined by 45.8%. Soybean meal accounted for 59.6%, while sunflower meal and other types of meal accounted for 40.4%.
• Other agricultural products — 390.8 thousand tonnes. Compared to the previous month, exports decreased by 3.2%.

«As previously forecast, due to lower shipment volumes and reduced operational intensity at the ports of Greater Odesa during July, exports declined by almost a quarter. The forecast for August remains unchanged: exports may decrease by nearly another half compared to July,» said Maksym Hopka, UCAB analyst.
