Nizhyn Cucumber Becomes a Comic Book Character

The collaboration made its debut at SIAL Paris 2026, the world’s largest food and beverage industry exhibition, according to the company’s press service.

«The story of the comic strip blanket unfolds like a film: the iconic Nizhyn cucumber, completely burnt out after spending time in the garden bed under the scorching sun, sets off on a well-deserved weekend break. Its destination is a spa complex shaped like a familiar glass jar. Next comes a spectacular dive into a pool of spices, marinade splashing in every direction, and complete Zen in a jacuzzi filled with dill, with cucumber slices covering the character’s own eyes,» the creators explained.

They added that, in the final scene, the resort turns out to be a refrigerator shelf, while the cucumber’s fellow holidaymakers are a pack of butter and various sauces.

According to the manufacturers, the comic strip blanket is perfect for treating yourself or surprising friends.
