Germany becomes the largest supplier of tractors to Ukraine

In January-April 2026, Germany became the leader in terms of tractor deliveries to Ukraine, surpassing the United States, which previously held the first place.

In the first four months of 2026, Ukraine imported tractors worth $293.4 million, which is only 0.3% less than in the same period last year.

Germany accounted for the largest share of supplies - 21.4% of total imports or $62.7 million. The United States ranked second with a 21% share and $61.9 million in deliveries. China remained the third largest supplier, exporting $53.2 million worth of tractors to Ukraine, which is 18.1% of imports.

For comparison, in January-April 2025, the United States was the largest supplier of tractor equipment with $62.5 million, while Germany supplied equipment worth $52.2 million.

At the same time, exports of tractors from Ukraine almost doubled in four months of 2026, to $3.14 million against $1.63 million a year earlier. Belgium became the largest buyer of Ukrainian machinery, accounting for 23.6% of exports.

In general, in 2025, Ukraine imported tractors worth $845.7 million, which is 7.9% more than in 2024. The main suppliers were the United States, Germany, and China.
