Top 10 Buyers of Ukrainian Organic Berries

Poland leads in terms of purchases of organic berries from Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted in early 2026 by the certification body Organic Standard together with the state institution Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and the national project Diia.Business, OrganicInfo reports.

According to the study, in 2025 Ukraine exported 15,414.6 tonnes of organic berries worth €39.8 million. Shipments of wild organic berries amounted to 11.8 thousand tonnes worth €27.1 million, while cultivated organic berries totaled 3.6 thousand tonnes worth €12.7 million.

Overall, the top 10 countries purchasing organic berries from Ukraine are as follows:

  • Poland — 4,427.3 tonnes worth €9.1 million;
  • Czech Republic — 3,162.4 tonnes worth €4.7 million;
  • Italy — 2,301.2 tonnes worth €7.6 million;
  • Germany — 2,008.4 tonnes worth €7.9 million;
  • Austria — 1,301.9 tonnes worth €3.1 million;
  • Netherlands — 465.8 tonnes worth €1.9 million;
  • Belgium — 445.7 tonnes worth €1.4 million;
  • Bulgaria — 351.1 tonnes worth €1.3 million;
  • France — 259.0 tonnes worth €409.5 thousand;
  • Latvia — 243.5 tonnes worth €639.3 thousand.

In the wild berry segment, Poland — 3.3 thousand tonnes worth €4.8 million — confidently ranks first in terms of shipment volumes. However, in terms of total export value, it is significantly ahead by Italy — 2 thousand tonnes worth €6.8 million — and Germany — 1.5 thousand tonnes worth €5.6 million.

In the cultivated berry segment, the Czech Republic holds the lead in terms of volume — 1.17 thousand tonnes worth €2.9 million. At the same time, Poland — 1.1 thousand tonnes worth €4.4 million — surpasses it in terms of the financial value of imports.
