Ukraine Exports $2.4 Million Worth of Snails in First Half of 2026

Ukraine exported 480 tonnes of molluscs in January–June 2026, down 3.8% compared with the same period last year.

The figures were released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, according to AgroTimes.

In value terms, exports declined by 11.1% year-on-year to $2.4 million.

Spain accounted for the largest share of Ukrainian mollusc exports during the first six months of 2026, purchasing 35.1% of total shipments, followed by Lithuania (34%) and Romania (26.4%).

Meanwhile, mollusc imports fell by 12% year-on-year to 2,200 tonnes. In value terms, imports decreased by 6.3% compared with the first half of 2025, reaching $10.4 million.

The leading suppliers of molluscs to the Ukrainian market during the reporting period were China (31.5%), Peru (23.8%), and France (15.3%).
