Ukrainian shellfish producers shipped 244 tons of products to foreign markets in the first quarter, which is 27.1% more than in the same period last year.

The growth was also recorded in financial terms. The value of exported shellfish reached $662 thousand, which is 14.5% more than in January-March 2025.

At the same time, domestic demand for this category of goods has also increased. The volume of shellfish imports to Ukraine increased by 18.5% to 1.1 thousand tons. The company spent $5.5 million on the purchase of foreign products, up 41% year-on-year. The key suppliers to the Ukrainian market were China (39.7%), Peru (26.7%) and France (12.1%).
