Grain stocks in Ukraine are almost 50% higher than last year

Grain and legume stocks in Ukraine amounted to 15.68 million tonnes as of April 1, which is 5.3 million tonnes more than on April 1, 2025.

This was reported by GrainTrade, citing data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Compared with last year, grain stocks stored at agricultural enterprises increased by 47.2%, to 10.04 million tonnes, while stocks at processing and storage enterprises rose by 59.8%, to 5.64 million tonnes.

By crop, stocks increased compared with last year as follows:

  • wheat — by 58.5%, to 5.4 million tonnes;
  • corn — by 46.6%, to 8.8 million tonnes;
  • barley — by 57%, to 705.4 thousand tonnes.

At the same time, sunflower stocks decreased by 10%, to 2.6 million tonnes, while rye stocks fell by 1.6%, to 43.36 thousand tonnes.
