At the current pace of limited exports without the ports of Greater Odesa, Ukraine will effectively face a shortage of domestic grain storage capacity in November, which could amount to between 8 million and 11 million tonnes.

This was reported by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi during a conversation with journalists.

«We have appealed to international partners to help provide temporary storage facilities — grain bags. The capacity of one such bag is 250 tonnes. As of today, we have confirmation of approximately $10 million in assistance, which will provide storage for around 2–2.5 million tonnes. We are also finalising additional financing with the World Bank for this purpose in the amount of $25 million, which will provide storage for an additional 6 million tonnes of grain. So we see that the critical needs will be covered,» Taras Vysotskyi noted.
