The production of sunflower oil in 2025/26 MY is expected to reach 4.6 mln tonnes, down 10% from 5.1 mln tonnes last season.
This was reported by Ukroliyaprom association.
Experts predict that exports of this product will decrease by 6.4% and amount to 4.4 million tons.
"At the same time, there is no decrease in foreign exchange earnings from the export of sunflower oil, but rather an increase compared to the previous MY, which is explained by the growth of prices for these products on the world market," the association added.
The decrease in production and export of oil and meal was explained by the decrease in sunflower seed production in Ukraine. In particular, the sunflower yield decreased by 16.8%.
"The sunflower yield in the current marketing year is the lowest in the last ten years," Ukroliyaprom summarized.
