Ukraine exported 4.9 thousand tonnes of organic nuts worth €16.6 million in 2025. Compared to the previous year, export volumes increased by 91%, while in value terms they more than doubled.
These are the findings of a study conducted at the beginning of 2026 by the certification body Organic Standard in cooperation with the state institution Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and the national project Diia.Business, OrganicInfo reports.
Experts note that Ukraine’s organic nut exports are currently represented exclusively by walnuts. However, certified organic production of hazelnuts and almonds creates opportunities for further diversification of exports.

In 2025, Ukraine imported more than 2,000 tonnes of organic products worth a total of $9.63 million. Compared with 2024, import volumes increased by 10%, while the total value of imports rose by nearly 13%.

In the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine exported more than 40 thousand tonnes of organic products.
