Area of Organic Farmland in Ukraine Increased by 69,000 Hectares

This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, OrganicInfo.ua reports.

Thus, in 2025, there were 473 organic market operators in Ukraine, including 430 agricultural producers. Compared with 2024, the number of operators increased by almost 8.5%.

At the same time, the area of agricultural land used for organic production increased to 418,532 hectares, of which 411,497 hectares have organic status and 7,035 hectares are in conversion. In 2024, the area of agricultural land used for organic production amounted to 349,348 hectares. Thus, the area of such land increased by 69,000 hectares.

It is noted that information on the number of organic operators and the area of land used for organic agriculture is collected based on data from foreign certification bodies that certify organic production and the circulation of organic products in Ukraine. The data are analysed and summarised by the ministry.
