In 2025, Ukraine imported more than 2,000 tonnes of organic products worth a total of $9.63 million. Compared with 2024, import volumes increased by 10%, while the total value of imports rose by nearly 13%.

These findings come from a study conducted by the Organic Standard certification body in partnership with OrganicInfo.ua, with support from Switzerland.

According to the researchers, the increase reflects continued growth in demand for organic products.

Processed organic foods accounted for the largest share of imports in 2025. The largest product categories by volume were alcoholic beverages (529.2 tonnes), non-alcoholic beverages (320.2 tonnes), baby food (211.2 tonnes), and plant-based milk (165.4 tonnes).

«At the same time, the structure of imports is gradually changing. While plant-based milk was the second-largest import category by volume in 2024, its imports fell by more than half in 2025, from 346 tonnes to 165.4 tonnes. Meanwhile, imports of non-alcoholic beverages, canned products, yoghurts, desserts, and vegetable oils increased,» the experts added.

Organic products were imported into Ukraine from 40 countries in 2025. Italy, Spain, and Germanywere the leading supplier countries by import volume, while a total of 296 organic product categorieswere imported into the country.
