Statistics on the area under lavender fields in Ukraine are not maintained, but experts believe they may reach 800 ha.

It is noted that 170 companies are registered under the most relevant economic activity code for individual entrepreneurs — «Growing of spices, aromatic and medicinal crops». However, this category also includes those who grow, for example, basil, mint and sage.
Experts estimate that the total area under lavender fields in Ukraine may range from 300 to 800 ha. It is difficult to determine the exact figure.
The largest field is located in the village of Vasylivka in Odesa region, covering 55 ha. Other large fields include one in Chernivtsi region covering 16 ha and one in Zakarpattia region covering 10 ha. The remaining fields are mostly 1-3 ha.
Estimates by agricultural associations, nurseries and farmers themselves show that there are currently 244 lavender fields in Ukraine.
