Fruity Polissia LLC plans to develop a blueberry growing, cooling, sorting, and packing complex in the Volyn region.

This is according to the Ukraine Investment Guide 2026, presented at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC2026), Open4business reports.

The total project budget amounts to $24.2 million, of which the company will finance $2.3 millionfrom its own resources.

The project envisages the establishment of a 90-hectare blueberry plantation and a production complex for cooling, sorting, and storing blueberries in the village of Omelne (Lutsk district, Volyn region).

The planned production capacity is 1,720 tonnes of blueberries per year from the company’s own plantation. In addition, the company plans to sort and market another 1,580 tonnes annually, purchasing berries from other producers.

The project is based on modern Dutch technologies, which provide protection against frost, precipitation, strong winds, bird damage, power outages, and labour shortages.

The European Union has been identified as the project’s primary export market, with the United Kingdom being the key destination.

The project is expected to be launched within three years, with an estimated payback period of 7.5 years.

For reference: Fruity Polissia LLC, established in 2016, specializes in blueberry cultivation. The company leases more than 94 hectares of land, including 14 hectares planted with irrigated blueberry plantations. According to the company, approximately 90% of its production is exported to EU countries, primarily to Poland through an intermediary.
