Ukrainian Wheat and Flour Meet EU Standards

Ukrainian wheat and flour fully comply with European Union standards.

According to the Millers of Ukraine Union, this is confirmed by the results of an independent study presented at a sectoral forum of the European flour milling industry.

«The study covered more than 14,000 wheat samples and 200 samples of premium flour (T55) and confirmed that Ukrainian products meet EU standards: the average protein content stood at 12.4% against the EU minimum of 11%, gluten at 27.4% against the minimum of 23%, and the falling number at 354 seconds against the minimum of 220 seconds,» the association specified.

They also added that in 2025, the number of violations related to mycotoxins and pesticides dropped to zero.

The Millers of Ukraine Union emphasizes that the large-scale independent study, carried out with the support of the Swiss Import Promotion Programme SIPPO as part of SECO initiatives, confirmed the quality and safety of Ukrainian flour for the global food market.
