Ukrainian company Dairy Global Experts plans to implement a $160 million project to build a high-tech cattle slaughtering and primary meat processing complex in the Cherkasy region. To finance the project, the company intends to attract $150 million in investment.
This was reported by Open4Business and the Ukraine Investment Guide 2026, presented at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC2026) in Gdańsk.
The facility will have a processing capacity of up to 1,000 head of cattle per shift, or approximately 350 tonnes of carcasses and 250 tonnes of finished products per day. The plant will produce chilled and frozen beef, meat cuts, minced meat, burgers, sausage products, as well as by-products, including gelatin, collagen, and feed additives.
The project’s primary target markets are the European Union, the Middle East, North Africa, as well as China and the countries of Southeast Asia.
According to the project description, the facility will comply with EU food safety requirements, animal welfare standards, and the HACCP system. It will also be designed to obtain Halal and Kosher certification.
A preliminary pre-feasibility study has already been completed, while the feasibility study and detailed design documentation are currently under development.
The project is expected to be implemented over a four-year period, with an estimated payback period of seven years.
Raw materials for the plant will be supplied by farms belonging to the Association of Milk Producers, which brings together more than 150 farms.
