Polish companies Grupa Azoty and Anwil have become key suppliers of mineral fertilizers to the Ukrainian market and have actually replaced Russian products after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia.
«The growing interest in Polish fertilizers is not accidental. The war forced Russia to withdraw from the market, and our largest producers, Grupa Azoty and Anwil, benefited the most. We are beating the Russians in this field», — the analysts noted.
The publication emphasized that the stable demand for fertilizers is due to the high share of the agricultural sector in the Ukrainian economy. The presence of 25% to 40% of the world's black soil reserves in the country makes the issue of crop nutrition critical to maintaining wheat, corn and barley yields.
The need to provide grains and oilseeds with fertilizers will remain high in Ukraine. This strengthens the position of Polish exporters in the medium term, experts stated.
