This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Oleksandr Haidu at an industry forum, the press service of the parliament reports.

He emphasized that since 2022, a systemic reform has been implemented in the industry aimed at creating a transparent and competitive fisheries market. This implies equal access to resources, clear rules for business and effective control over their observance," the press service of the State Agency for Land Reclamation, Fisheries and Food Programs quoted Oleksandr Gaidu as saying. The main goal of the initiative is to ensure maximum transparency of the inspectors' work, eliminate abuses and implement European standards in the system of aquatic bioresources protection.
